In conjunction with the exhibition »Blutiger Boden. Die Tatorte des NSU« by Regina Schmeken, which addresses the incomprehensibility of the NSU crimes, the Altonaer Museum opened an additional space. Together with the museum’s curatorial team and the family of Süleyman Taşköprü, we conceived and designed this »space of remembrance« / »Erinnerungsraum«. Süleyman Taşköprü was murdered on 27 June 2001 in his grocery shop on Schützenstraße in Altona by members of the National Socialist Underground (NSU). In memory of: Enver Şimşek, Abdurrahim Özüdoğru, Süleyman Taşköprü, Habil Kılıç, Mehmet Turgut, İsmail Yaşar, Theodoros Boulgarides, Mehmet Kubaşık, Halit Yozgat and Michèle Kiesewetter.
